We’ve wrapped up another successful year holding the Summer Kids Fair, and it was so great seeing and meeting everyone who was able to attend! Every one of our partners that showed up was cheerful and ready to tell visitors all about who they were and what they did as a business. This is an absolutely vital part in keeping you and your family informed on fun activities that await you this summer.

If you missed our amazing event, here were some of the highlights:

Clarke County Parks and Recreation

Gentle Harvest / Ayrshire Farm

Harpers Ferry Adventure Center

Massanutten Water Park

Museum of the Shenandoah Valley

Skyline Paintball

Upon walking into the Shenandoah Valley Discovery Museum, who so graciously helped people set up booths, you were greeted by Go Blue Ridge Travel’s spin wheel, where you and your family were able to spin for a chance to win amazing vouchers and discounts, as well as prizes worth up to $900! Aside from tons of Kids Trail merchandise like T-shirts, stickers, books, and pencils, was the chance to purchase your very own Bucket plushie, our iconic Kids Trail mascot!

Both the Museum’s fun play areas as well as our Summer Kid’s Fair booths enamored every child who walked in. From being able to pet live Africa-indigenous cockroaches, to playing drums, to practicing for outdoor adventures, to enjoying rooftop views of downtown Winchester, to winning cool prizes, children and parents alike were able to enjoy what the Kids Fair and its location had to offer them.

A huge shout out to all vendors who came, set up, and informed the important families in our area about what the Shenandoah Valley really has to offer them: THANK YOU! If you weren’t able to attend this year, we hope to see next summer 2018 for another fun-packed day!
