Come on out this weekend to the 7th annual Shenandoah Uncorked Wine Festival! The festival begins at 10:00 am at the Yellow Barn at Shenandoah Caverns in Mt Jackson, Virginia. You and your family are invited to come enjoy Virginia wine, food, crafts, and kid’s activities!
Jessica Sager, Shenandoah Cavern’s Director of Marketing & Events, told us that “this year it will be bigger than ever!”
The festival features 11 wineries, 7 food vendors, and over 20 craft and specialty vendors for everyone! Admission is free for the whole family – all the more reason to come out and make a day of it! There are activities that will keep the little ones busy, including a magician and barrel train rides. The first 100 kids will receive the Kid’s Activity Pack, which includes 2 free Barrel Train Ride tickets, sunflower seeds for the goats, a coloring book, and crayons.
For mom and dad, you have the opportunity to partake in wine tastings at only $15 per person. This includes tasting fabulous wines, and taking home a souvenir glass! Some wine vendors that will be there are Mattaponi Winery, Castle Glen Winery, and Bluestone Vineyards.
Sager told us that “There’s also a discount to visit the caverns if you attend the festival!” You can find out more about the caverns here.
