May Cooking Classes at Nibblins!

Is your cooking knowledge at a standstill and need freshening up? Now immersed in spring with a fast approaching summer, it’s time to liven up the kitchen again! Get out there and get cookin’ with an all-new May lineup from Nibblins!

May 12th

Nibblins will be holding a class called ‘Secret to the Sauce’, because everyone knows the secret to a great meal is in the sauce! Chef Maggie Costello will show you her secrets for amazing dishes, like chicken picatta, Mediterranean tuna steak, pasta with tomato basil, and raspberry coulis! If you’re interested in the 6:30 p.m. event, hurry! As we write this, there are only 10 available spaces left!

May 13th

Held on Saturday from 4:00-6:30 p.m., Nibblins invites you to join Naomi McManigle of Simply Thai in cooking delicious concoctions exclusive to Thailand. On the menu: Chaingmai Noodle Curry, sweet and sour vegetables, spring rolls, red curry over fish, and beef salad. Come learn about unique spices and techniques that make Thai cooking so popular! May 16th

Chef Erik of Magnolias at the Mill will be teaching you how to cook seared Virginia scallops and smoky pork belly, as well as local porchetta saltimbocca! And because no meal is complete without dessert, instructions for cooking a frangelico crème brulee are there to top the night off.


May 19th & 21st – Harry Potter inspired cooking classes!

Are you having withdrawals now that the original Harry Potter saga is over? Nibblins offers you a chance to immerse yourself in the wizarding world once again with classes for everyone! On the adult menu for the19th: butter beer, rustic shepherd’s pie, rich treacle tart, and spiced pumpkin pasties. On the teen chefs menu for the 21st: butter beer, sausage rolls, mushroom and chicken pies, and rock cakes!

May 25th

Strawberry season is upon us! Ripe and delectable, join Nibblins to learn new ways to use strawberries in the kitchen! From strawberry sauce and its many uses, to strawberry salsa, strawberry tarts, and chocolate filled strawberries – you’ll never eat a strawberry plain again! Chef Tona Bays from Rosemont Manor will showcase the numerous ways to use fresh local strawberries to freshen up your own home kitchen menu.

A separate deal hosted by L’auberge Provencale Bed & Breakfast is the chance to attend cooking classes with world-renowned chefs. Learn recipes from their award winning restaurant with a 2 hour, hands-on cooking session, including fine dining and bistro-style menu items! Not only do you get to learn new recipes with an amazing chef, you always get to keep your La Table Provencale apron as a souvenir!
