Hello! My name is Erin Scherer and I recently joined Go Blue Ridge Travel as a Digital Content Marketing Coordinator. I am incredibly excited to have the opportunity to be a part of this amazing team, and I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself to the Go Blue Ridge Travel community.
I was born in Miami and moved to Northern Virginia as a child. I vividly remember the experience of moving from the hot, flat state of Florida to the lush, rolling hills of Virginia. My fondest memories include taking gorgeous drives to the Shenandoah Mountains, enjoying the scents and sounds at the plethora of fall festivals in autumn, and experiencing my first magical snowfall in Virginia. I attended college at James Madison University where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Media Arts & Design with a minor in Writing and Rhetoric. I am currently completing a master’s degree with Shenandoah University in Winchester, VA.
Over the last few years I have worked in the recruiting and marketing fields, but after my experience of studying abroad in London as an undergraduate I have had an insatiable desire to see the world. I founded the Wonderlost Travel Blog in February of 2015 after revamping an old blog I created to record my semester abroad. I love writing about and photographing my experiences as a travel blogger to share reviews and travel advice with my readers from over 90 countries around the world. In the past two years I have had the opportunity to travel throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, and South America, and plan to visit Asia in March. My desire to visit new places and explore the wonders of nature continues to expand, but Virginia is my home and will hold a special place in my heart forever.
My Role at Go Blue Ridge Travel:
When I first came across Go Blue Ridge Travel, I immediately fell in love with everything it stood for: outdoor adventures, culinary experiences, romantic getaways, family-friendly activities, and overall travel advice. As the Digital Content Marketing Coordinator, I will work to create interesting content for our readers and partners to enjoy via the Go Blue Ridge Travel websites.
Do you have a passion for the Shenandoah Valley too? I would love to hear from you! We are always looking to add new voices to our blog. If you would like to get in touch, please email me at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
