Introducing the Launch of Blue Ridge Bride!
Blue Ridge, Blue Ridge Bride, Weddings and Celebrations

We are so excited to announce the launch of Blue Ridge Bride, an online wedding blog for couples looking to get married in the Shenandoah Valley. Blue Ridge Bride was created to introduce readers to the best people in the Shenandoah Valley wedding industry. The goal of BRB is to connect brides and grooms with potential vendors to learn about their  passions for the industry. This website is story-driven with an emphasis on people and emotion.

Blue Ridge Bride is a member of the Go Blue Ridge Travel community. GoBRT’s team will also offer wedding tips and words of wisdom on this blog.  Blue Ridge Bride allows readers to easily connect to our sister sites (Virginia Kids Trail, Go Blue Ridge Travel, and Taste of Blue Ridge) to book romantic getaways, plan family vacations or find a new restaurant or brewery while in the area.

The Evolution of Blue Ridge Bridal Show to Blue Ridge Bride

Nancy Craun, owner and founder of Encore Event Partners, LLC began working in the wedding industry in 1990 opening a special event company, Encore Special Events, Inc. Over the next 14 years, Encore Special Events produced over 100 weddings a year as a one-stop special event company. The company also managed three wedding venues including Hackwood Estate, The Villa on Paris Mountain, and Wheatland Manor.

In 2004, Encore Event Partners, LLC was opened as an event marketing branding consultant company specializing in wedding venues. Nancy worked with a number of properties including The Stable at Bluemont Vineyard and Breaux Vineyards . Nancy also launched the Blue Ridge Bridal Shows. With the goal of marketing the Shenandoah Valley as a great place to get married, Nancy has worked with the leading wedding professionals in the region.

Nancy is retiring from the bridal shows but not from her friends – the brides. Thus, Blue Ridge Bride is born! We upgraded and modernized the Blue Ridge Bride website, choosing colors that reflect the spirit of hosting a wedding in the Shenandoah Valley with deep blues, purples, and natural browns.

“Bringing the people together and sharing the wonders of our beautiful Shenandoah Valley is my passion. Enjoy our four websites. Each has its own community of partners. Together we are branding the northern Blue Ridge Shenandoah Valley as a great place to get married, to raise children, and to retire.” – Nancy Craun

Be sure to check out Blue Ridge Bride and don’t hesitate to give us feedback on what you think of the new website.  We are very excited to share this new journey with our readers.
