Taste of Blue Ridge  Taste of Blue Ridge has picked eight foodie destinations for you to visit in 2019. A community of local chefs, restaurant owners, farmers, and beverage masters here in the northern Shenandoah Valley who are passionate about food and beverage. These food professionals are dedicated to serving the best food quality possible using local resources.

The year of 2019 will see six unique food experiences launched – “Blue Ridge Root to Table” by the community of passionate foodies here at Taste of Blue Ridge.

For New Years Eve – reservations are highly suggested and may be required.

Massanutten Resort, located in Harrisonburg, Virginia, has tons of exciting fun planned for New Years Eve! Start at Campfire Grill with their exclusive New Years Eve menu. Campfire’s executive Chef Michael Ritenour has been with the resort for over 20 years and creates delicious meals. Campfire Grill serves many southern dishes, which change seasonally. Camp stove chili, chicken dumplings, campfire pouches, and skillets are just a few favorites served at the scenic mountain setting. Just make sure to save room for the very popular S’mores skillet dessert! Once you’re full, you can head over to Hideaway Lounge for some karaoke until the ball drops or to Live at the Lodge for live music and a champagne toast at midnight. If you’re feeling super adventurous, try ‘Northern Lights Tubing’ – snow tubing mixed with neon lights and music!

George’s Food and Spirits is featuring a New Year’s Eve Prix Fixe Dinner. Chef John Lawrence is the Head Chef at the George Washington A Wyndham Grand Hotel in downtown Winchester, Virginia. “I want people to see George’s Food and Spirits as a wonderful place to get good seafood.” The George Washington Hotel won the 2015 – 2016 Boutique Hotel of the Year from Wyndham Hotels. Bavarian Inn New YearsThe Bavarian Inn of Shepherdstown, WV, is ideal for those looking for options. Choose between a family-friendly chicken and prime rib buffet or live music and a cash bar with a midnight toast! Those who take the family route can look forward to dance music, photo-op chances with Willy the Dragon and a delicious breakfast and dinner buffet. Those who choose the adult route can look forward to party favors, dinner, entertainment, dancing, wine, and a champagne toast and soup buffet at midnight! One of Loudoun county’s finest resorts, Lansdowne Resort has an incredible New Years Eve package happening right now. Ready to ring in 2019? Kiss 2018 goodbye and ring in the New Year at Lansdowne Resort and Spa! Join them for a New Year’s Eve Vintner Dinner in Terrace Ballroom or bring the entire family to welcome 2019 with the Riverside Hearth Buffet. Following dinner, enjoy their New Year’s Eve Celebration in the Lansdowne Ballroom for adults, Silent Disco for teens and Kids Club for the children. For a tavern scene, Coton & Rye will also have entertainment for resort guests and the local community.
