Looking for something fun to do with the family this Easter? Check out our partners’ amazing events to get the most out of this eggcellent holiday! (See what I did there?)

KID FRIENDLY

A day premature of the actual date, Bryce Resort will be hosting an official Easter Egg Hunt! With each egg offering candy or other special and mysterious prizes, you and your little ones won’t want to miss this! The quest for eggs starts Saturday the 15th at 11 a.m., with a request from Bryce Resort to ‘Please meet outside of Ski School!’ Following the extravaganza, we recommend staying overnight to enjoy the resorts surplus of amenities. The next morning, hit snooze on your alarm for just a little while longer before joining the Resort for an Easter Brunch. It’s fun for the whole family combined with a gourmet breakfast selection – what’s better than that? For prices, click here.

The Family Drive-In Theatre’s Easter event is going to be the perfect outing for you and your kids. Starting this upcoming weekend they’ll be playing the new DreamWorks movie Boss Baby (7:45 p.m.), guaranteeing even those with the driest sense of humor a good laugh or two. Following this will be the new Smurfs movie, for a fun re-imagination of your favorite little blue guys! The best part about this is that when you purchase a ticket, you and your kids are automatically invited to join the Drive-In for their Easter Egg hunt on Saturday, the 15th at 5 p.m. A major bonus: you’ll get to meet the Easter Bunny, too! To purchase tickets online, click here.

ADULTS

While we like to think that you’re never too old to express your inner child, you may be past wanting to dye eggs or hunt for them. Here are some prime locations for you and loved ones to enjoy.

First on our list is Gentle Harvest, whose boasting handsome looking roasts ready for you to take home and cook for Easter dinner! If roasts aren’t your thing or you just don’t feel like cooking, check out their ice cream – it’s handmade! And with so many rich flavors, you’ll feel as good as a kid waking up to an Easter basket.

All month long the George Washington Hotel will be the home of talented musicians. On Easter weekend, both Jimmy Lee and James Thompkins will be performing at the Half Note lounge. James Thompkins, a singer/songwriter artist, plays upbeat and pensive originals as well as many well-known covers, while Jimmy Lee focuses on acoustic versions of 80s, 90s, and today’s biggest hits. You won’t want to miss this, so go ahead and book Easter weekend here!

Have your taste buds been craving a little something extra lately? Maybe a dish dubbed ‘The essence of spring’ is just what they’re looking for: seared oyster mushrooms, pea shoots, sautéed fiddleheads, local goat cheese, and spiced walnuts. These ingredients all come together to form One Block West’s warm mushroom and fiddlehead salad, that perfect taste of spring you’ve been needing! Not a salad person? Try their scallop crudo! A blend of orange, mint, and feta cheese, these lightly cooked scallops are to die for. Grab a friend and swing by to explore everything this amazing restaurant has to offer!

With so many things going on for Easter weekend, how will one ever choose? Decisions, decisions! From our families to yours, Go Blue Ridge Travel wishes you a wonderful Easter.
