Discover your family heritage!
It is hard for kids to relate to history. Being interested in something that happened 100 years ago is hard. The popular musical “Hamilton” is changing that picture. Here at the Virginia Kids Trail we want kids to realize they will be creating the history future generations will read about. Each family has its own family heritage and often is a blend of cultures. Ridge, our mascot for the past, can help your family have fun exploring the past and the present cultural experiences here in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
“A retro movie experience”

Mt Hebron is also a great geo-caching location. Learn about the generosity fo Judge John Handley and then drive by Handley High School. Stop in at Handley Library to pick up one of the must read for the summer books.
