The Valley Turnpike Museum is located on the famous road from which it was named, now known as U.S. Route 11. The museum explores the history of the road, from its beginning as a buffalo path, a great wagon road to Stonewall Jackson's famous Valley Campaign and the toll road era and the development of the interstate highway system. View a full the exhibit of Engine 199 as it’s pulled up the Valley as it was in spring of 1862. Open daily 9am-5pm
