A regional cultural center, the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley (MSV) includes a galleries and exhibitions, seven acres of gardens, and the Glen Burnie House. Galleries feature permanent collections of fine and decorative arts, changing exhibitions, displays that detail the Valley’s history, and an impressive collection of miniature houses. Fun, family-focused events are offered, too! The MSV is open 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Tuesday–Sunday. The galleries are open year-round; the house and gardens are open April through December. Admission is FREE to ages 12 & under; all others: $10, $8 senior/youth. Admission is free to all every Wednesday thanks to sponsor Howard Shockey & Sons, Inc. The entire MSV site is closed on Mondays, Thanksgiving Day, December 24 & 25, and January 1.
NEW! Special Extended Summer Hours: Every Wednesday through August 31, 2016, the MSV site is open for FREE until 8 p.m. Bring a picnic and enjoy a summer evening in the gardens. Note: tickets are not available on line but are purchased on-site at the MSV.
