The Super 8 Film Club was based on the models of previous film clubs and aims to bring great cinema to a younger audience; to get them excited about movies, meeting new people, being a part of a local community, and engaging in new conversations.
Youthful cinephiles and their parents are invited to join for unique family films from around the world. We are featuring a host – Leigh Phillips. She will help with the club and be our eyes and ears to relay things like what the members would like to see.
Each month will feature a different film. “There are no restrictions, but our main focus is on kids. Of course, we want the parents to come too! And we want people to walk in off the street and we want them to be engaged in great cinema as well. Mainly, though, the focus of our theme and programming is looking towards kids. With that said, we won’t be showing your typical run-of-the-mill children’s films. We want to show films that are different and that can evoke conversation.”
Purchase your ticket at the door, and if you're hungry, you will be able to order from the brunch and lunch menu.
Screenings are once a month on a Saturday at 11 am.
