4th of July Parade Celebration Shepherdstown WV

The historic town of Shepherdstown, WV, holds a small-town 4th of July parade and community picnic on the 4th of July.

The parade starts at 11:00 a.m. on German Street downtown. With the picnic held afterwards, from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m., in the pavilion at Morgan’s Gove Park just south of town.

Everyone is welcome at both events and admission will be free. And there is music and lots of children’s activities.

The parade and picnic are organized annually by the Rotary Club of Shepherdstown. The goal is to provide a wholesome, family-oriented Fourth of July celebration for the town. The Rotary Club sells hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, ice cream and non-alcoholic beverages at reasonable prices. All proceeds from those sales are used to help cover event costs.

There is plenty of parking at the park.
