There is so much fun to be had this time of year at Back Home-On the Farm! Bring the kids out to experience the best parts of fall, featuring exciting activities and delicious, fresh food. They’ve got a carousel, wagon rides to the pumpkin patch, corn mazes, a cow train, putt-putt golf, and so much more!
Coming up on Saturday, September 9th and Sunday, September 10th, they will be hosting Heroes Weekend! This weekend is dedicated to the local heroes who risk their lives every day to make ours safer. All local military, fire, rescue, police, and veterans are invited to come to Back Home-On the Farm with their families. They are welcomed to enjoy the farm’s activities free of charge (must present valid ID).
Please, come and make a whole day of it! No need to bother packing a lunch because there are great, fresh options when it comes to food! The Cornfield Kitchen features a unique menu each weekend based upon available ingredients (that’s how you know it’s fresh and delicious!). Homegrown hamburgers and Lynne’s family recipes are sure to satisfy!
We know what you’re thinking – dessert? Don’t worry, they’ve got it covered. At the Sweet Shop, you can choose from a variety of incredible baked goods – homemade fudge, whoopie pies, cookies, and more!
We love our friends at Back Home-On the Farm, and we love the Heroes Weekend annual tradition! This is such a fantastic way to bring people together and to honor those who choose careers most of us would avoid. Life as a first responder can be busy, tiring, and crazy, but we hope that getting to spend a day (or two!) at the farm with your loved ones can act as a nice way to de-stress.
We hope all local heroes and first responders can make it out to enjoy some quality family time at the farm. Thank you for your service – past, present, and future!
